Lesson 7: Reflections on E-Learning
E-Learning was a new experience for me. It was pretty fun at first, but it was tedious. The hours spent on it was more than a regular school day with homework. Language Arts was okay though, it was the other subjects where videos had to be watched and they were very long, running into technical errors in the way. Some of the Language Arts assignments took a longer time, but I could complete most of them within the given time of one hour.
My favourite assignment is Lesson 1 on Figurative Language. I liked how we had to watch a video to understand what the topic was about and selecting a poem to incorporate what was learnt thereafter. Lesson 2 on Favourite poet was a bit harder than the rest since I am not a fan of poems, I would not know any poet. I had to go through some poems before choosing a poet, thus using the most time to complete this lesson.
Communication between students and teachers was inefficient and insufficient. Hopefully these can be improved if there is a need for E-Learning again.
